A referral is not required if you have an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner. You will be eligible for a Medicare rebate (which varies based on the appointment duration) after each consultation. There are no limitations to the number of visits you can have within the calendar year.
If you are seeing one of our CDEs, a Medicare rebate will only apply if your GP has completed an eligible Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referral. Please note these EPC referrals are only valid if prepared by your GP. Whilst you may be referred by your specialist, a rebate will not apply to visits with our CDEs.
You are also welcome to attend without a referral. The full fee will be payable, with no Medicare rebate available (with exceptions if seeing our Nurse Practitioner). You may be able to claim a rebate from your private health insurance extras policy. Please check with your insurer.
Please note, we are a private clinic, and we do not bulk bill (apart from DVA Gold Card holders, or DVA White Card holders with diabetes listed as a specific condition).
Please contact us for our fee schedule as it will vary depending on which clinician you will see. Payment is expected on the day of appointment, and can be made via EFTPOS, credit card or cash. We can lodge your Medicare claim via our software to Medicare Online for your convenience, with your rebate being paid to you by the following day.
